Who Are We

What Inspires Us?

What Inspires Us

We can put our source of inspiration in just two words – Danish architecture. We admire its unbroken and clean lines, eye for detail, perfectionism, and use of natural elements.

We are deeply inspired by the famous architects of Denmark and their buildings. For example, one of the top architects in Denmark is Jorn Utzon, whose design bagged the first prize in a competition that challenged architects to create designs for the Sydney Opera House.

Today, you will find the Sydney Opera House on UNESCO’s list of world heritage buildings. Utzon has also created noteworthy structures such as the Melli Bank in Teheran, Iran; Utzon Center in Aalborg, Denmark; and the Parliament Building in Kuwait.

We also have to give the example of Arne Emil Jacobsen, who introduced modernistic elements into Danish architecture. His designs bore strong signs of minimalism and rationalism and were greatly in demand because they were simultaneously utilitarian and aesthetic. If you visit Denmark, you simply cannot miss Jacobsen’s designs, especially in the cities of Copenhagen and Aarhus. The Royal Danish Embassy in London happens to be one of his little-known works.

Another great architect we must mention is Henning Larsen. In fact, we just cannot create a website about Danish architecture without mentioning him. He launched his firm in 1959 and quickly became one of the most famous architects not only in Denmark, but at an international level. His most popular work in Copenhagen is the Royal Danish Opera.
